A public bus, carrying mostly school pupils, has crashed in Farvagny in the canton of Fribourg.

Ten out of the 80 adolescents on board have been lightly injured.

They have been taken to hospital.

Others are said to be in shock.

The vehicle hit a farm building at around 7:30 a.m.

The exact circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear.

But a spokesperson for the driver, Donatella del Vecchio, says a discipline problem at the back of the bus caused the driver to leave his seat.

The bus then reportedly turned by itself and slipped 20 meters down a slope.
