Study predicts newspapers will die out by 2040
The head of the World Intellectual Property Organisation or WIPO is pointing boldly to a study that says because of the popularity of electronic devices, printed newspapers will die out by 2040. So can the digital age really do away with the traditional newspaper? Francis Gurry is the head of WIPO which is based in Geneva, and he joins WRS’s Dave Goodman to discuss the question:
