Wintery fun on Europe's biggest natural ice rink
This week in the Jura mountains in the canton of Vaud the Lac de Joux froze over, which in itself isn’t unusual. But what is unusual is that it took so long to freeze. Blame the gusty winds. So better late than never—what’s billed as Europe’s largest natural ice rink is open for business this weekend with nine kilometers of fun for cross-country skiers, hikers and of course ice skaters. WRS’s Jordan Davis takes us up for a day on the Lac de Joux:
