NGO denounces sandblasted or 'killer' jeans
What style of jeans do you prefer? Dark denim? A faded look from years of wear? Campaigners fighting for decent working conditions say one jeans trend that’s big in Europe is proving devastating for the workers who make them. An NGO—the Bern Declaration—has repeated its calls for clothing companies to ban sandblasting. The group says many high-street stores aren’t honouring pledges to ban sandblasted or distressed jeans.
