Why high rollers go to Campione, 'an island inside Switzerland'
Switzerland is full of peculiarities but one of the oddest is a tiny part of Italy which is totally within the borders of Switzerland. It’s called Campione d’Italia. It nestles on the shore of Lake Lugano in canton Ticino and its best known claim to fame is its casino, the biggest in Europe. WRS’s Vincent Landon went for a visit:
