WHO is not focussing on priorities, on the contrary it is going about the whole restructuring in a underhanded manner. Instead of posts being abolished, it is staff who are being targeted. The higher ups are still holding their positions and the DG wants nothing to do with how this exercise is being carried out. If WHO were focussing on priorities, why is it that some departments who have money are not going through the restructuring? They remain intact and their programmes are not even high priority. Wait for 2 more years and WHO will start hiring again as it hasn’t been thought over well. Typical!
