When teens get addicted to cell phones
Have you ever wondered about all those teenagers who seem completely glued to their mobile phone? Well, for many of them it’s pathological. That’s according to a recent survey by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences which says 5 percent of Swiss teenagers aged 12 to 19 are addicted. That’s several thousand kids, and some of them even take their phones into the shower! WRS’s Dave Goodman talks to Franz Eidenbenz, a psychologist and the director of the Centre for gambling and other behavioral addictions in Zurich:
