Warmer weather brings more wet snow avalanches
As the weather gets warmer across the country, especially following the frigid temperatures from a couple weeks ago, what happens to the avalanche risk level? WRS’s Alex Helmick asks Christine Pielmeier from the Avalanche Warning Service at the Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research in Davos, who recommends that skiers finish their off-piste ventures early in the day:
