Voters to decide on national smoking ban
“A Switzerland without second-hand smoke.” That’s the slogan for backers of an initiative coming to a vote next month. The initiative would put a constitutional ban on smoking in workplaces, notably restaurants, bars and clubs. And it would put an end to the patchwork of smoking restrictions across the country. WRS’s Jordan Davis is in Bern where the campaign was launched today:

Smoking, what about at the entry of most shops and offices, where there’s an ash tray and workers or clients hanging around smoking, and in my opinion, it’s a hinderance for the non smokers to have to walk through a cloud of smoke simply to go shop, with kids and all, so this should go, and so should people smoking in vehicles especially while children are in the same vehicle…..
