Village objects to Italian traffic
Tens of thousands of Italians cross the border into canton Ticino every day to work. But one small village is fed up with the large number of commuters using it as a shortcut. The residents of Ligornetto have voted to close the centre of the village for three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening. The Italians aren’t happy and nor too are residents of neighbouring villages. WRS’s Vincent Landon has more:
