Urban populations to explode in coming decades
Fifty percent of the world’s population live in cities and between now and 2050, it’s estimated the world’s urban population will almost double. The issue of rapid urbanization and its consequences for everyday life in cities around the world is the subject of a conference in the village of Engelberg in the canton of Obwalden. WRS reporter Vincent Landon is at the Academia Engelberg meeting and has this report:
