UN opens its doors for International Democracy Day
Saturday, September 15, is International Democracy Day , and to celebrate, the United Nations in Geneva opens up part of the Palais des Nations and Ariana Park to the public for dancing, music, films and more. All the festivities, which start at 11 a.m., are free. WRS’s Alex Helmick speaks to Corinne Momal-Vanian, director of the UN Informations Service, who describes what to expect, and mentions that no invitation is necessary:
