UN feels pinch of financial crisis, considers corporate sponsorship
As with many organizations, the United Nations in Geneva is also not immune from the current financial crisis. The lack of money is affecting operations of several branches, including the UN Human Rights Office. As a result, some at the international organization are now looking into corporate sponsorship to make up for declining funds and the strong Swiss franc. From the Palais des Nations in Geneva, BBC reporter Imogen Foulkes explains to WRS’s Alex Helmick how all this is affecting operations:
