Trying to beat back 'bill shock' from roaming charges
For many of us, summer holidays may now be fading into distant memory. But there’s one thing none of us wants to bring home from vacation—a mobile phone heavy with the costs of roaming charges. And along with the average consumer, the Swiss-based International Telecommunication Union has been taking an interest in the issue. It has agreed measures to help reduce what they’re calling “bill-shock.” To tell us more, WRS’s Dave Goodman talks to Richard Hill, from the ITU’s Standardization Bureau:
