Tinners expected to avoid more jail time
The three Swiss engineers charged with taking part in a global nuclear smuggling ring are currently appearing for sentencing in front of Switzerland’s Federal Criminal Tribunal in Bellinzona, the capital of Ticino. The father and his two sons are expected to avoid more prison time, in part because they helped the American intelligence agency, the CIA, demolish the network trying to build Libya’s atomic weapons program. However, the trial turned into something much more complex. WRS’s Alex Helmick gets the latest from correspondent Nicole della Pietra, who speaks from in front of the courthouse in Bellinzona:
