Switzerland, ten years after joining the United Nations
Monday marks the 10 year anniversary of Switzerland becoming a member of the United Nations. Jussi Hanhimaki, professor of international history at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, joins WRS’s Alex Helmick to talk about the early days, when Switzerland had an observer status role, and what kind of impact being a UN member state has made over the past decade on the neutral nation:
