Swiss reluctant to adopt new FDA-approved HIV home test
A controversial new medical product is set to arrive on shelves in the U.S. this autumn:an HIV testing kit which can be used at home. The kit was approved by drugs administration officials on Tuesday. It looks a bit like a home pregnancy kit and guarantees anonymity. Some see the development as a step forward for HIV prevention, but would it be welcomed here in Switzerland? WRS’s Dave Goodman asks Harry Witzthum from the Swiss AIDS Federation:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the OraQuick In-Home Test Kit on July 3 for over the counter sale to consumers in the United States.
