Swiss Catholics break silence on Apartheid with public apology
The Swiss Catholic Church made a public mea culpa yesterday, apologizing to the people of South Africa. For much of the ’70s and the ’80s the church was silent about the Apartheid regime and never took a strong stand in favor of the boycotts that helped bring down the apartheid government. Yesterday in Bern they released an historical investigation of that period. For more, WRS’s Dave Goodman turns to reporter Jordan Davis, who met with the historian who authored the report:
