One man's epic quest to swim the Rhine
This morning, a 44-year-old swimmer from Davos dipped his toe into a frozen lake in the heart of the Swiss Alps on the first day of his attempt to swim the Rhine from source to mouth. It’s an epic swim, about 1,200 kilometres, and Ernst Bromeis hopes to have it wrapped up by the end of the month. WRS reporter Vincent Landon caught up with Ernst Bromeis before he set off and began by asking him how his love affair with water began:
