Solar Impulse takes off for Madrid
The next stage of the Solar Impulse journey—to Africa—is underway. The Swiss built plane has already proved it’s capable of flying day and night, relying on the power of the sun alone. It has wowed crowds with appearances in Brussels and Paris. And today it is flying the first leg of its journey to Morocco, with a stopover in Madrid.
