Should gender quotas be imposed on businesses?
For the past three years, Switzerland has ranked number 10 out of 153 countries on the World Economic Forum’s assessment on gender gap. While this may sound impressive, a closer look at the figures shows there is actually still a long way to go in certain areas including wage equality and the number of female managers. Virginie Carniel is the vice president of Business and Professional Women, the lobby of working women in the country. WRS’s Dave Goodman asks her what needs to be done to finally close the gap:
