Sheepdogs seen as win-win protectors of flocks and wolves

Could sheep dogs be everyone’s best friends? Even the wolf’s? Following decades of conflict between pro-nature groups, who welcome the return of wolves, and animal farmers who don’t, sheep dogs look like the long awaited win-win. About 200 of them are now guarding livestock in over 90 pastures around the country. The canton of Vaud is leading the way, and it was in the spotlight earlier this week, with a visit in Les Diablerets by the Swiss Minister of the Environment, Doris Leuthard. WRS’s Lucas Chambers reports:
