Robberies on the rise in Vaud, Geneva
The wave of break ins sweeping the cantons of Geneva and Vaud isn’t dying down. In the canton of Geneva police put burglaries at 26 a day, on average, while in Vaud break ins and armed robberies have doubled in the last year. You might want to bear this in mind— police say almost all robberies take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., while most of us are out. Police are recruiting to step up enforcement, but they also warn that times have changed. WRS’s Lucas Chambers reports:
