Swiss footballer's racist tweet represents wider problem

One of Switzerland’s national footballers is to be sent home from the London 2012 Olympics. The decision was made to expel 23-year-old defender Michel Morganella, from the canton of Valais, after he posted racist comments on Twitter. His outburst followed the national team’s defeat against South Korea on Sunday. Swiss Olympic’s team chief told reporters yesterday evening that Morganella had “discriminated against, insulted and violated the dignity of the South Korean football team as well as the South Korean people.” For reaction to the news, WRS’s Pete Forster talks to the former vice president of Switzerland’s Federal Commission Against Racism, Boël Sambuc:
