Pressure grows for campaign financing transparency
Swiss political parties are fighting hard for votes in the upcoming general election. And of course this costs money that mostly comes from private donors. Who are they and how much are they giving? Swiss law does not require transparency on party funding. And this raises concerns about how independent Swiss MPs really are. So far there’s been lots of resistance to transparency, but recent events suggest that could be changing, as WRS’s Lucas Chambers reports:
