Pets get blessed to celebrate Saint Francis
Would you say a prayer for your pets? It’s not as unusual as it sounds. Churches across Switzerland and throughout the world are doing it, including one in Gingins in the canton of Vaud. A group of around 30 people gathered the other day to pray for their furry friends and to celebrate Saint Francis of Assisi. But as WRS’s Lucas Chambers reports, some of the pets needed a bit of convincing this was really such a good idea:
