Paying more for a nuclear-free ride?

Would you pay more for a nuclear-free train ride in order to reduce your carbon footprint? The Swiss Federal Railways is examining the idea of a voluntary surcharge for passengers who don’t like nuclear power. The extra money would pay for renewable power projects. Switzerland’s planned phaseout of nuclear power is already expected to mean higher electricity costs. So would people opt to pay for a pricier train ticket? WRS’s Jordan Davis reports:
