New money laundering act awash in debate
The fight against money laundering is about to change in Switzerland. But does that mean it’ll get tougher? Some doubt it. The Federal Council has submitted a new money laundering act to Parliament. Its main aim is to ease the foreign pressure for stricter rules in Switzerland. But while the act in theory promises those enforcing the rules more power, in practice, say critics, it doesn’t give them the means to apply it. WRS’s Lucas Chambers reports:
