New (higher) bar set for social responsibility
The Geneva-based International Organization for Standardization is probably best known for its ISO numbers that are supposed to make products safer for consumers. And with the launch of its latest standard, ISO 26000, the NGO is moving into the realm of social responsibility. We hear from Kevin McKinley, deputy secretary-general of ISO and Beth Krasna, a board member of several Swiss businesses, including Coop and Raymond Weil, a luxury watch firm:
