Exorcism requests on the rise in French-speaking Switzerland
Representatives of the Catholic Diocese of Lausanne, Fribourg and Geneva say they responded last year to 550 people who said they were possessed by the devil. That’s a third more than in 2006. Also quoted this week is the priest in charge of exorcisms for the canton of Vaud, who says genuine exorcisms are extremely rare. He reckons there are really only about four or five per year. But for many of us, even the idea of a real-life exorcism seems far-fetched. To look more closely at this phenomenon, Susan Flory speaks to Professor Michael Felder, a professor of theology at the University of Fribourg:

Roman Catholicism—the One True Catholic Church started by Jesus—is being abandoned in Switzerland. Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, and Moslems are the “new” religions. These are false religions. There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. Some do not like this doctrine(including many “free wheeling” Catholics and even pseudo-Popes!) but it is an ancient teaching and still true. Until people accept Jesus via His church, demonic possessions will increase. All one has to do is read a little of the New Testament to understand the prevalence of possession. Secular countries are either rife with false teachings or suffering from the weight of unnaturalism: homosexuality, lesbianism, gay marriage, divorces, abortions, etc. Sadly, when people turn from the True religion, demonic influences increase.
I don’t know about “pseudo-popes”, but I do know what the Church has always taught: if you are not in the Ark, you will surely perish in the flood. Since the salvation of souls is the highest law, our every effort must be geared not simply to dialogue, but to conversion. Anything less fails in Christian charity.
I remember reading a scary book in italian a couple of years back “Black Hole” by Angelo Paratico, Mursia 2008.
It was about an exorcism in Switzerland connected, in a mysterious way, to the end of the world and the starting up of the LHC at the CERN of Geneva. The devil possessing the daughter of one of the top scientist there was also an agent of destruction controlling the minds of some of those physicists.
Reading this article I did remember that the LHC has reached its full power on sunday 7th of November 2010. Just the day before yesterday. Some news network reported this information, noting en passant that during the lead ions collision they have reached temperatures a million time higher than the center of Sun.
No one seem to have given much tough to the fact that such temperatures were reached only a second after the Big Bang, that is the Fiat! pronounced by Mighty God in Genesis.
I am a bit worried about what those scientists are doing.

Phil, what do you mean with new religions? Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, Judaism and other religions are older that catholic church; Muslims let’s say are younger religion but the base is the same as Catholics and Judaism. What do we know that there are no “exorcisms” from those others religions? Good and bad manifest to men no matter which religion or not is practice.
Do you people realize that up until recently in human history, psychiatric disorders including psychosis and schizophrenia were usually thought to be “of the devil” or unexplainable? We now know they are caused by imbalances in the chemistry of the brain. Did people know what epilepsy was when the bible was written? Maybe you should look it up and do some research.
