From my watching of the USA Republican Party debates it is my guess that Mrs. Bachmann felt she needed to maintain only her USA citizenship in order to somehow demonstrate or “prove” to the USA Democratic Party and others who might try to use her dual citizenship as a “negative” to her running for and serving in political office in the USA. What a sad and bad state of affairs that some wouldn’t be able to see that her dual citizenship would have been a plus, especially with Switzerland- a country more akin to the USA in political structure and a love for independence and freedom!
