Merck staff strikes as decision looms on jobs
Staff at biotech giant Merck Serono in Geneva went on strike on Tuesday. Employees had voted overwhelmingly in favour of the action. They said they had received no response from management to proposals they had put forward to save some of the 1,250 jobs currently facing the axe or relocation.
