Mentoring to help immigrants find jobs
Looking for a job these days is no easy task especially if you’re a migrant who’s recently arrived in Switzerland. Without any knowledge of the Swiss system and without a network of contacts here, many immigrants face an uphill battle. To give them a boost, a Christian organisation, Swiss Interchurch Aid, has set up a mentoring programme to help them find work. WRS’s Catherine Allen spoke with the head of the project, Anne-Claude Gerber, to find out more:
