Jura shifts economic gaze to the north
The heartland of Switzerland’s famous clock and watchmaking industry is switching its economic focus, with a new partnership deal with Basel, building a four-year trade arrangement with western Switzerland. Susan Flory spoke to Dr. Suzanne Thoma from the Basel Area, which promotes Basel’s economy, and asked what this means for the bigger picture of intercantonal relations.
