Immigration a hot issue for Social Democrats this weekend
Immigration is almost always a hot topic and this weekend the Social Democrat party congress may really heat things up in Lugano. The party’s set to vote on a position paper that looks to muscle its stance on migration. The leadership insists it’s not anti-immigrant, but is instead looking for a response to growing concerns about asylum and the free movement of people accord. But critics of the paper say the party’s being held hostage by the populist right. WRS’s Jordan Davis has been following it:
