Hackles up over online piracy
An Intellectual property group in the United States says an inter-governmental dialogue is underway with Switzerland over the issue of online piracy. It follows a strongly-worded criticism of Switzerland’s lack of enforcement action to combat widespread Internet piracy in a recent report. The U.S. Trade Representative’s office said there were “serious concerns” over the lack of legal redress in Switzerland for copyright holders. Our Washington correspondent Daniel Ryntjes has been speaking to Steven Metalitz of the International Intellectual Property Alliance, which lobbies for major software, book, music and film companies in the U.S:
