Hackers compete in Geneva for fun and the greater good
More than 150 hackers from across Europe are gathering in Geneva. But don’t worry, these are ethical hackers competing in a sort of decathlon of cracking code. Insomni’hack is the biggest ethical hacking contest in Switzerland, and this is the fourth edition. WRS’s Alex Helmick talks to Alain Mowat, from SCRT Information Security of Lausanne, the company hosting the event. Mowat says the event showcases the constructive use of hackers’ talents and raises awareness about website vulnerabilities:
