Growing tobacco 'epidemic' among women and girls
“Tobacco use is neither liberating nor glamorous. It is addictive and deadly.” Those are the words of Margaret Chan, head of the World Health Organisation, which is marking World No Tobacco Day today. The UN health body is focusing this year on the dangers of tobacco for women and girls, and the way that tobacco advertising is targeting them.
