Group for Switzerland Without an Army soldiers on
Should Switzerland abolish its army? The Group “Switzerland without an Army” thinks so and marked its 30th anniversary of campaigning on Saturday in Bern. Since it was formed, Swiss citizens have twice rejected the idea of getting rid of the armed forces. So is the group fighting a losing battle? Or is the tide turning in its favour? To discuss these questions, WRS’s Dave Goodman talks to Tobias Schnebli, a member of the organisation’s committee:
