Giving old bikes a new life in Africa
Giving old bikes a second chance in Africa and putting people to work here in Switzerland are the goals of a multi-faceted project that includes Bikes for Africa, Switzerland Rolls, M-Way and the Federal Railways. To date, Bikes for Africa has collected more than 100,000 bicycles. WRS’s Alex Helmick finds out more from Thomas Schröder, who is with the Migros electric mobility subsidiary M-Way:
