Geneva steps up moves to save WRS

As the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation considers shutting down WRS, a petition against the move now has nearly 4,000 signatures and there have been numerous articles in the media across Switzerland. Political support for WRS continues to grow too. Several weeks ago a coalition of MPs in Bern wrote to the company urging them to reconsider. In Geneva a group of cantonal lawmakers have drafted an urgent resolution for the Parliament there. Patrick Saudan is a Liberal member of Geneva’s cantonal legislature:

I think WRS is a big asset for the multi-cultural Switzerland. To shut it down would be a scandal.

WHY would the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation considers shutting down WRS?

WRS is the best radio station I have been listening to for years! I learn l lot, good update on local news (and relevant international news), and grest music!

This is very Good for WRS! After the admin.ch, World Radio Switzerland is the quickest way to recieve Update across Switzerland! David Goodman is very creative; as I always enjoy the audio special interviews, from the WRS Home Page!
