Geneva leads country in saving energy
When it comes to saving energy, Geneva seems to be leading the pack in Switzerland. The SIG, the local public utility company, says this week that while electricity consumption has risen by 2.2% nationwide in the past four years, Geneva managed to achieve a historic drop of 0.1%. So what’s Geneva doing right and should the rest of the nation follow? WRS’s Dave Goodman finds out from Professor Hans Björn Püttgen, director of the Energy Center at the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL):
