Film posits Polanski's arrest tied to Swiss-U.S. tax spat
The Zurich Film Festival is in full swing and if there’s one filmmaker whose name will long be linked to the festival, it’s Roman Polanski. Four years ago the festival showed the investigative feature Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired by documentary maker Marina Zenovich all about the flight of the director from the U.S. after being charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in the late ’70s. A year later Polanski was seized by Swiss authorities and held in custody for months after stepping off a plane to receive a film festival life achievement award. Polanski finally picked it up in 2011 and this year Zenovich is back with another film about the director—Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out shown last night. WRS’s Vincent Landon was there to see it:
