FIFA approves use of goal line technology
Ukraine had one in the Euro 2012 championships a few weeks ago. England had one in the 2010 World Cup. The days of unjust disallowed goals could be over as the use of so-called goal line technology, which can help determine whether the ball has entered the goal or not, was unanimously approved by the International Football Association Board, the sport’s rule-making body. Both the IFAB and FIFA based in Zurich fought long battles against introducing a new dimension to the sport.
