Doubts over US's new Swiss Ambassador

President Barack Obama is being accused of political cronyism, by nominating a major donor to the position of US ambassador to Switzerland. Donald Beyer is a well known car dealership owner in the state of Virginia, and Mr. Beyer himself was responsible for raising around $500,000 in donations for the Obama presidential campaign. From Alexandria, Virgina, our correspondent Daniel Ryntjes reports.

Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Don Beyer waves with his family, including wife, Megan, right, and daughter, Megan, 17, after conceding the governor's race Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997, in Richmond, Va. Republican Jim Gilmore, seizing on a proposal to slash a despised tax on cars, was elected governor Tuesday and led an unprecedented GOP sweep of the top three statewide offices.
