Does managed care come between you and your doctor?
The issue of choosing your doctor is at the heart of the debate over managed care. Voters will be asked to approve a law encouraging people to use networks of doctors and where seeing a GP first is mandatory. Proponents say coordinated care is better care. But opponents are making the campaign into a referendum not just on managed care but specifically on free choice of doctor. WRS’s Jordan Davis reports:
