Jura ban on tanning salons for youth applauded
Canton Jura has become one of the first cantons to ban minors from self-service solar tanning shops. Jura’s Parliament supported the change in law by a margin of 48 to 1. The aim—to reduce skin cancer risks in teens under 18. In most cantons minors remain free to use these facilities unsupervised.
