Del Ponte: Syrian war criminals should face criminal court
Carla del Ponte says those perpetrating alleged war crimes and crimes against children in war-torn Syria should be brought to justice at the International Criminal Court. Del Ponte is a member of a United Nations commission investigating Syria. She is also a former chief prosecutor on two United Nations criminal tribunals for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia. The BBC’s Imogen Foulkes talked to del Ponte at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. She joins WRS’s Alex Helmick:
