Decade after the fact, 'no one really against' UN membership
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon will speak before the federal Parliament later today in Bern. It’s part of the 10th anniversary of Switzerland becoming a UN member. Switzerland’s been eager to carve out a role in the world through its UN membership, with plans for reforming institutions and even, perhaps, gaining a non-permanent seat on the Security Council.
