Data theft and hiding data hot-potato topics in Bern
Switzerland is locked in wranglings with the United States over data concerning U.S. citizens who might be trying to hide money from their tax authorities—and some Swiss banks have come under fire for handing over data concerning their own employees who could be complicit. The secret services too were at the heart of a scandal over data, after a disgruntled employee stole some highly sensitive information with the intention of selling it on. Yesterday, both of these hot-potato topics came into the spotlight in Bern. WRS’s Dave Goodman talks to DRS political correspondent, Pascal Krauthammer:
